Restore Hope for Roses Valley Primary School
For nearly 100 years, Roses Valley Primary School has stood in the quiet hills of Roses Valley, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, as a beacon of learning for the children of our rural community. Built in 1929, the school has nurtured countless young minds, but despite its legacy, the building and facilities have barely changed since the day its doors first opened.
Generations of students have persevered through outdated classrooms, minimal resources, and a lack of basic amenities. Today, our dedicated teachers continue to do their best, but the conditions are far from what our children deserve in the 21st century.
We are raising funds to bring Roses Valley Primary into a new era—one where our children can learn in comfort, safety, and dignity. With your help, we hope to provide:
-
A Printer for Educational Resources:
Our teachers need a reliable printer to create handouts for lessons, exams, and homework. Currently, students often go without printed learning materials because the school has no means of producing them. -
Modern Whiteboards with Markers and Erasers:
The blackboards in our classrooms are worn and difficult to use. Replacing them with whiteboards will improve visibility, enhance teaching methods, and make learning more interactive and engaging for students. -
A Water Pump for Hygiene and Sanitation:
At present, water does not reliably reach our washrooms. Installing a water pump will ensure that toilets can flush and sinks have running water—allowing students to wash their hands and maintain proper hygiene throughout the day. -
A Proper Lunchroom for Our Children:
Our school has no designated dining area, forcing children to eat their meals on the grass or the steps. A proper lunchroom will give them a clean, sheltered space to eat, socialize, and rest before returning to class.
This campaign is about more than bricks and equipment—it’s about dignity, opportunity, and hope. Every child, no matter where they are born, deserves access to a safe and supportive learning environment. By contributing, you are helping to create a place where our students can focus on learning without worrying about basic needs.
Together, we can write the next chapter in Roses Valley Primary School’s proud history—one where our children thrive and our community flourishes.
